We’re currently designing stands for Arabian Travel Market* (ATM*) in Dubai, where last year plenty of attention was diverted to an impressive display of Dubai’s new fleet of police cars.
On show were a limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador – released last year to celebrate the firm’s 50th anniversary, a Mercedes and a limited-edition £1.6million Aston Martin One-77.
The luxurious cars are part of a government programme, released in 2013, which ruled top-of-the-range cars are a necessity to fight crime in a city with so many highways and speeding drivers.
Since last year, Dubai Police have added £170,000 McLaren MP4-12Cs to their fleet, which can accelerate from 0mph to 62mph in 3.1 seconds. The custom-made vehicles, painted in Dubai’s flagship green and white colours, carry a ‘2020’ number plate to celebrate the nation’s successful World Expo 2020 bid, which will showcase business, creative, and economic innovation in the country to millions of visitors.
In the meantime, whilst our designers might dream of designing Ferraris, they have plenty to do preparing stands for our global tourism clients exhibiting at the event. Clients in 2014 include: Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, IHG and Marriott. Below are a few examples of stands we designed and constructed in 2013.
Arabian Travel Market* takes place 5-8 May 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
